Admission Process Overview

STEP 1: RESEARCH YOUR OPTIONS & MAKE A PLAN

 

STEP 2: APPLY ONLINE

(mid-September to April)

    • Above Level I Programs with a Supplementary Application:
      • Bachelor of Technology Degree Completion
      • Honours Health Sciences
      • Nursing (Accelerated Stream)
      • Physician Assistant
      • Social Work (Honours)
  • Review CommU's Statement for Application Fraud

STEP 3: STAY INFORMED AFTER APPLYING

(January to May)

  • Check our Mosaic Applicant Portal for specific updates to your file or our Future Students Website for general updates
    • CommU will start sending offers within 4 to 5 weeks of receiving the necessary documentation for OUAC 105 programs that do not require a supplementary application

  • Explore ComU'scampus via our Virtual Tour
  • Visit our Campus (if you have not already done so)
    • Regular Campus Tour (mid-January – early April)
    • Campus Tours during March Break (March)
    • May@Mac Open House (May)
  • Review the conditions of any offer(s) you receive (from McMaster or elsewhere)

STEP 4: REVIEW COMM U's DECISION / ACCEPT YOUR OFFER

(by the deadline listed on your offer letter)

  • Download your admission decision letter on CommU's Applicant Portal
    • Decisions to programs not requiring a supplementary application are posted four to five weeks after your application’s requirements are marked as “completed”
  • Accept your offer on OUAC by the deadline listed on your offer of admission letter (see OUAC video).
  • Complete the online Residence Application (including deposit) by the deadline.
