If there’s a GovDeals or AllSurplus customer who is seeking sales tax exemption, please follow these steps:
- Go into LEAP
- In the upper, left-hand corner, make sure the toggle is set to "GovDeals" or "AllSurplus," whichever applies.
- Pull-up the seller account (Explore > Client Search > Search)
- Within the LEAP seller record, scroll-down to the "Features" box.
- About half-way down on the left, you'll see the field labeled "Vertex." If Vertex is set to NO, refer the buyer back to the seller. If it’s set to YES, proceed to step 6.
6. Please direct the buyer to our online portal, https://liquidityservices.jotform.com/203106375783153
7. A member of Customer Support will assess the documentation to determine whether it's valid. If valid, the member will remove the sales tax. If invalid, the member will follow-up with the customer.
