Medications, Supplements and Anti-Doping

Team USA athletes are responsible for everything that goes into their bodies. Because the rules on medications, pain relievers, vitamins and supplements are detailed and can change, USOPC does not give advice on whether any product is permitted, safe or approved — including common over-the-counter medicines.

Who can answer your question

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) is the official source for questions about medications, supplements, testing and the anti-doping rules.

  • Website: https://www.usada.org/
  • Phone: (719) 785-2000 (voice only, no SMS)
  • Toll free: (866) 601-2632
  • Email: USADA@USADA.org

If something has already happened

If you have taken something by accident, tested positive, missed a test, or been asked to speak with USADA, you don't have to work through it alone. USOPC Sports Performance and the Athlete Ombuds can help you understand your options.
