Classic Blackjack - Quick Guide

What You Need to Know

  • Usually played with 6–8 decks and 7 seats.
  • You can bet behind another player; only the main player makes the decisions.
  • Dealer hits to 16, stands on 17+ (may vary based on in game rules).
  • A Blackjack (Ace + 10-value card) normally pays 3:2.
  • Aces count as 1 or 11.
  • If you tie the dealer, you get your stake back (push).
  • Insurance offered only when the dealer shows an Ace.
  • Basic options: Hit, Stand, Double Down, Split (splitting Aces gives only one extra card)(Splitting rules may vary based on table selection).
  • Common side bets: 21+3, Perfect Pairs, Triple Treat.

How a Round Works

  1. Everyone gets two cards; dealer gets one face-up, one face-down (game rules may vary based on table selection).
  2. Players act in turn and try to get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over.
  3. Dealer reveals their hole card and finishes their hand by fixed rules.
  4. Totals are compared, and bets are settled.
  5. Split creates two hands with the same stake.
  6. Double Down adds one extra bet for exactly one extra card.
  7. Insurance pays if the dealer has Blackjack.

Variants - Quick Comparison

Speed Blackjack

What’s different:

  • In Speed Blackjack, once the initial two cards are dealt, the next card is given to the player who acts first, regardless of their position at the table.
  • Subsequent cards are dealt in the order that players make decisions, ensuring faster gameplay while maintaining standard Blackjack rules and payouts.

Scalable (Infinite, ONE) Blackjack Tables

What’s different:

  • Scalable Blackjack tables are a live blackjack variant that allows an unlimited number of players to join a table simultaneously, unlike classic blackjack which has a fixed number of seats.
  • In this version, only one hand is dealt for all players at the table, but each player can make their own decisions independently.
  • The game follows standard blackjack rules, with the goal of building a hand closer to 21 than the dealer.
  • Its unlimited seating and streamlined gameplay create a faster, more accessible experience while maintaining the core mechanics of traditional blackjack.
