A Quick Guide to On-Premises Live Chat Deployment

For organizations with strict data security, compliance, or infrastructure requirements, deploying live chat software on-premises can offer full control and peace of mind. This guide offers essential information for deploying Comm100 Live Chat in an on-premises environment. It covers system requirements, environment preparation, validation steps, and the installation process to ensure a smooth and secure deployment.

System Requirements

The software requires the following hardware and software environment:

Operating System (OS)Original System Install Language.Net Framework and .NET Core
Windows Server 2016 or above.English.Net Framework 4.5.1 or above. 
.NET Core 3.1.25 and 6.0.19. 


Note: Administrator privilege is required for the user to run the software. For new installations, the Sysadmin Server Role is strongly recommended for the user to connect to the MS SQL Server.

 

Environment Preparation

Before beginning the installation, ensure the following servers are ready:

  • Web Server
    • Install required System Components
    • Install RabbitMQ
  • Database Server
    • Use Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or above
    • Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition is required
  • Redis Server
    • Install Redis 7.4 or above

Note: A pre-installation server check meeting can be arranged with Comm100 Support upon request.

 

Installation Process

You will receive an installation package named: Comm100_Live_Chat_X.X.X_Setup.exe. The installation should be performed during a guided session with the Comm100 Technical Team to ensure correct configuration and system stability.
