Webhooks allow you to set up event-driven communications between Comm100 and an external server or third-party services. By setting up webhooks, you can send a real-time notification to a third-party system whenever an event within the Comm100 platform occurs.
To set up webhooks for Comm100 Contact Management, you need to create a webhook in the Apps & Integrations module and then apply it to Contact Management. This article introduces the steps to creating a webhook.
Note:
- Webhooks created in the Apps & Integrations module work for Contact Management only. To learn more about using Webhooks for other products, see Live Chat Webhooks, Ticketing & Messaging Webhooks, Chatbot Webhooks, Task Bot Webhooks, and Voice Bot Webhooks.
- To learn how to apply the webhook to Contact Management, see this article.
Step by Step Instructions
To create a webhook, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Comm100 Control Panel.
- From the left navigation menu, click Apps & Integrations.
- Go to the Webhooks card and click Settings.
- Click New Webhook.
- On the New Webhook page, complete the following settings for the webhook.
- Provide a webhook name.
- Provide the Target URL to which you want to send the event data.
- (Optional) If the third-party system requires authorization, select the Authorization Required checkbox and choose the credential from the drop-down list. The credentials are created and managed via Apps & Integrations > Authorization Credentials.

- Click Save.
The webhook is created successfully. You can apply it to the product that you want to use.
