How to Create a Webhook

Webhooks allow you to set up event-driven communications between Comm100 and an external server or third-party services. By setting up webhooks, you can send a real-time notification to a third-party system whenever an event within the Comm100 platform occurs.

To set up webhooks for Comm100 Contact Management, you need to create a webhook in the Apps & Integrations module and then apply it to Contact Management. This article introduces the steps to creating a webhook.

Note:

Step by Step Instructions

To create a webhook, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Comm100 Control Panel.
  2. From the left navigation menu, click Apps & Integrations.
  3. Go to the Webhooks card and click Settings.

    • Provide a webhook name.
    • Provide the Target URL to which you want to send the event data.
    • (Optional) If the third-party system requires authorization, select the Authorization Required checkbox and choose the credential from the drop-down list. The credentials are created and managed via Apps & Integrations > Authorization Credentials.
    • (Optional) If the third-party system requires additional webhook headers, click New Webhook Header to add the header information.
  6. Click Save.
The webhook is created successfully. You can apply it to the product that you want to use.
