How to Edit Agents' Information

You can change agents' email, name, and other information after creating them. The agent's display name which is shown to the visitors can also be edited. To edit agents' information, you need to be the site Administrator or have permission to manage agents.

Step by Step Instructions

To edit an agent's information, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Comm100 account.
  2. From the left navigation menu, go to Global Settings > People > Agents.kb-individual-agent-permission-01.png
  3. Find the agent and click the edit icon in the Operations column.kb-edit-agent-02.png
  4. Edit the agent’s information. You can edit all the agent information on this page.
    • Email: The email address that the agent uses to log in to your Comm100 system.
    • First name and Last name: The agent's name.
    • Display name: The agent's name that is shown to the visitors, which can be different from the agent's real name. 
    • Password: The password for the agent's account.
    • Departments: The business unit that the agent belongs to. To learn more about departments, see this article.
    • Roles: The roles that the agent act as in your team. To learn more about roles, see this article
    • Active: Whether the agent is active. Only active agents can chat with visitors. 
    • More Information: In this section, edit the agent's title, bio, meeting information, phone number, and time zone settings. kb-agent-02.png
  5. Click Save.
Note: Agents' Meeting Info can be a physical location or a virtual meeting URL like a Zoom link. You can insert an agent's Meeting info when customizing the email notifications sent to the invitees in the Booking system.

The agent's information is successfully changed after your settings are saved.
