Comm100 Ticketing & Messaging supports the inline image within the ticket messages of the Email channel. On the Comm100 agent console, having an inline image in the Email ticket message helps in understanding the context of the message that your contact wants to share with you.
Considering the security aspect of the data exchange with your contacts, Comm100 Ticketing & Messaging avoids directly rendering the inline image within the ticket message. Instead, when you receive an email ticket message, all the inline images get downloaded to a file server and converted to a clickable unique link.
By default, every inline image including the ones in the quote of the email ticket message appears as a link on the given position in the email body. If you trust the contact, you can choose to show the image inline.
Later, if any of your agents sees the same message in Agent Console, the inline images show directly within the message.
Choose to Show an Inline Image
You can choose to show the inline images within the message. You need to select the Show Image icon against the image link. The image link is removed and replaced with an inline image.
When your agent manually inserts the image in the email editor in ticketing, it always displays as an inline image. The Contact who receives the email also sees the inline image type, not links.
Choose Not to Show an Inline Image
You can also choose not to show inline images within the message. The inline image will still display as links. In the email editor, it is displays as links as before, and the Contact who receive it see the image links.
When the contact replies based on that email with image links, the Agent Console tickets show these images as links by default. And you cannot show them as inline images because they are now image links.
- The inline images in the quote part also display if you show inline images for a message.
- Displaying inline images is set at the message level because, in an email, multiple receivers can reply to this ticket. If the Show inline image is enabled at the ticket level, your message runs the risk of security.
