How to Install and Uninstall Comm100 Live Chat Desktop and Mobile Apps

Comm100 Live Chat Agent Console is the software where your agents chat with your customers. To meet your requirements under different occasions, Comm100 offers multiple live chat apps: cross-platform compatible Web App, user-friendly Desktop App, and handy Mobile Apps. 

  • The Web App is compatible with major web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. 
  • The Desktop App is available on Windows and macOS.
  • The Mobile App is available on both Android and iOS.

 This article guides you through installing and uninstalling the Comm100 Live Chat Agent Console apps. 

Note: 
  • Before installing the Comm100 Live Chat apps, you need to get Comm100 Live Chat running on your website. To learn about the details, see this article.
  • If your Live Chat is on private deployment, you need to download the apps from your own account with a dedicated download link. In case you have any problem, you can contact us.

 

Install Comm100 Live Chat App

 

Web App

The Web App requires no installation. You can launch the Comm100 Live Chat Web App after logging in to your Control Panel. Click Get online and chat to log in to the Web App.

 

Desktop App

You can download the installation file of Comm100 Live Chat Desktop App and install it on your computer. 

Windows 

  • Click Desktop App for Windows to download the installation file. The desktop app works on Windows 10 or later.
  • On Windows, once you have the desktop app installed, a Comm100 icon shows up on your desktop screen. You can click on the icon to launch and log into the app. 

macOS

  • Click Desktop App for macOS to download the installation file. The desktop app works on macOS 10.15 or later.
  • On macOS, when you open a software from outside Apple's App Store, macOS displays a warning message, and you need to complete security settings to install and run the software. To learn about the details, see this article.

Mobile App

Comm100 Live Chat mobile apps are available for both Android and iOS systems. The mobile app allows you to receive chat notifications while on the go.

Note: 
  • Comm100 Live Chat mobile apps allow you to customize push notification, sound, and vibration notifications for new visitors, incoming chats, and new responses. To customize the notifications, go to Preferences (for iOS) or Settings (for Android) menu in your app and then choose Sound, Vibrate or Push Notification.  
  • You can customize how long you will stay logged in when the app runs in the background. To set the time, open your app and go to Preferences (for iOS) or Settings (for Android) > Go Offline After.

Android App

You can download and install the Comm100 Live Chat app through Google Play or Live Chat App for Android. The Live Chat app works on Android 4.1 or above. After installation succeeds, a Comm100 icon appears on your Android screen.

Note:  Comm100 Live Chat Android App is integrated with Google Push Notification. To receive push notifications from Comm100 Live Chat, you need to add a Google account to your Android device. To add a Google account, go to Menu > Settings > Accounts & Sync > Add account > Google on your device. After your account is added, you can receive notifications from Live Chat when it runs in the background.  


iPhone/iPad App

You can download and install Comm100 Live Chat App through App Store using the keyword Comm100. After installation succeeds, a Comm100 icon appears on your iPhone/iPad screen. 

Note: Comm100 Live Chat for iOS runs in the background when you switch to another app or your phone goes into power-saving mode, which keeps you informed for multitasking.

 

Uninstall Comm100 Live Chat App

 

Web App

You just need to have a web browser to use the web app of Comm100 Live Chat. No uninstallation is required.

 

Desktop App

The process of uninstalling the Comm100 Live Chat Desktop App differs based on the operating system. 

Windows

  1. Go to the Control Panel of your machine.
  2. Click Programs and Features, or Uninstall a Program under Programs.
  3. Scroll down to find Comm100 Live Chat.
  4. Double-click, or right-click on the app and then click Uninstall to remove Comm100 Live Chat Desktop App.

Window 8.x and 10 users can also uninstall Comm100 Live Chat Desktop App on the Start screen through Start > All Apps > right-click on Comm100 Live Chat Desktop App > Uninstall.

 

macOS

  1. Open a Finder window and go to Applications.
  2. Scroll down to find Comm100 Live Chat.
  3. Drag the app to Trash, or right-click on the app and select Move to Trash.

 

Mobile App

Android App

You can remove Comm100 Live Chat App from an Android device using the following two methods. Choose the one you’re comfortable with and follow the instructions. 

  • Uninstall from Home Screen
    1. Navigate to the Home screen that contains the Comm100 Live Chat App icon.
    2. Press and hold the Comm100 Live Chat App icon.
    3. Drag the icon up to the top of the screen to the Remove option.
  • Uninstall from Settings
    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap Apps or Applications to open the application manager.
    3. Swipe to the Download tab which contains all the downloaded apps.
    4. Find and tap the Comm100 Live Chat app.
    5. Tap the Uninstall button.

 

iPhone/iPad App

You can remove Comm100 Live Chat App from an iOS device using the following two methods. Choose the one you’re comfortable with and follow the instructions.

  • Uninstall from Home Screen
    1. Navigate to the Home screen that contains the Comm100 Live Chat App icon.
    2. Press and hold down the Comm100 Live Chat App icon until a list of menu options appears for the app.
    3. Tap Remove App.
    4. Tap Delete App in the pop-up window to confirm the removal.
  • Uninstall from Settings
    1. Tap the Settings icon on your home screen.
    2. Tap General and then Storage & iCloud Usage.
    3. Tap Manage Storage in the Storage section to display all the apps installed on your iPhone/iPad.
    4. Find and tap the Comm100 Live Chat app.
    5. Tap the Delete App button.
