Comm100 Live Chat Desktop App works on both Windows and Mac. Compared to the Web App, the desktop app provides additional features, such as displaying pop-up alerts, automatically launching when the computer starts, and so on. This guide walks you through installing and removing the desktop app on macOS.

Installing Comm100 Live Chat
You can download Comm100 Live Chat from Comm100 website. When you open a software from outside Apple’s App Store for the first time, macOS requests additional approval to make sure you aren’t misled into running software. Therefore, to run Comm100 Live Chat on your macOS, you need to complete security settings. Follow these steps to install and run Comm100 Live Chat:
- Go to the Comm100 Agent Apps webpage, click the macOS icon under Desktop App to download the installation file.
- After download completes, double click the installation file, a dialog box appears.
- Drag the Comm100 Live Chat app into the Applications folder.
- Click the Live Chat app in the Applications folder. A warning dialog box appears when you open the app for the first time. Click OK to proceed.
- Click the apple icon in the top left corner on your desktop, choose System Settings > Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down until you find the Security settings, for Allow applications downloaded from setting, choose the App Store and identified developers option, then click Open Anyway.
- A pop-up appears requiring you to provide password to make the changes. Enter your password and click Modify Settings.
- A dialog box appears again. Click Open to open the Comm100 Live Chat app, then you can log in and use Comm100 Live Chat normally.
Uninstalling Comm100 Live Chat
To remove Comm100 Live Chat app from your macOS, follow these steps:
- Open Applications, locate the Comm100 Live Chat app, right-click the app and choose Move to Trash. .
The Comm100 Live Chat app is removed from your macOS. Proceed to remove the software remnants - Click the search icon on the top right corner on your desktop, input ~/library and press Enter.
- Open the Library folder and then open the Application Support folder in it.
- Locate the Comm100 Live Chat folder, right-click and choose Move to Trash.
The remnants of Comm100 Live Chat are removed. You can reinstall the app afterwards.
