The General tab of Secure Messaging allows you to customize the look and feel of the Secure Messaging window. The Secure Messaging window is the window on which your contacts create and track cases with your agents. You can tailor the window to match the style of your website.
Step by Step Instructions
To customize the user interface of a Secure Messenger, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Comm100 Control Panel.
- From the left navigation menu, go to Ticketing & Messaging > Channels > Secure Messaging.
- Click the Secure Messenger link or click the Edit icon in the Operations column.
The General tab appears. - On the General tab, do the following:
- From the Theme Color picker tool, select a color.
- From the Font drop-down list, select a font.
- Drag the slider to adjust the Font Size.Note: The Font Size supported as of now are small, medium, and large.
- (Optional) You can also change the subject of a ticket and remove the “Secured by Comm100” text from Secure Messenger.
- Select the Custom ticket name check box and add a custom name. The default ticket name is the Case.
- Select the Remove “Secured by Comm100” check box if you do not want to display the text link on the Secure Messenger window.
- Select the Allow contact to reopen resolved ticket check box if you want contact to reopen a resolved ticket and send a message to it.
- Select the Custom ticket name check box and add a custom name. The default ticket name is the Case.
- Click the Customize Style with Your Own CSS drop-down to customize the style with your CSS.

After saving, the changes take effect automatically. You can see the real-time changes as you make them on the Quick Preview. You can also Live Preview to view the Secure Messaging window’s last saved state on a dedicated URL.
